FoPV Walk - Bats!

A gentle walk led by Ben Keywood from Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust. We will walk along the woodland edge to see foraging bats before heading back to the dam and riverside to observe bats hunting over the water. An echo meter bat detector will be used to identify the bats from their calls. 

Ben is an ecologist who has surveyed bats for many years, he is also an Entomologist specialising in butterflies and moths as well as the President of the Rotherham and District Ornithological Society. Consequently, there will be opportunities to observe and identify other wildlife groups seen during the walk.

Please bring a torch and wear sensible shoes.
