Om evenemanget

Heritage Open Days represent an opportunity to celebrate our history and culture. FoPV marks the occasion with a walk in the Porter valley to identify the sites of some of our lost waterwheels. We finish at Shepherd Wheel where the waterwheel still turns. Suitable for all ages. Approximately 90 minutes.

Our walks leaders William Goldring (landscape architect who redesigned Endcliffe park post industrial decay) and Edward Shepherd (whose  grinding hull bears his name), aka John Gittins and Kevin Smith, will explain the waterpower heritage from Hunters Bar to Shepherd Wheel.

Tickets are free for FoPV members using the emailed discount code and £5 for non-members.

Children under 12 are free but must be booked.
