FoPV Walk - Summer Walk looking at plants

A short walk (about 1 to 2 miles) led by Gerry Firkins with a bit of standing on terrain that is largely level and tarmacked but has a few small inclines and mud and grass patches. Photo is hypericum perforatum This walk is limited to 15 people. Tickets available from 12th June 2026

About the event

A short walk (about 1 to 2 miles) led by Gerry Firkins with a bit of standing on terrain that is largely level and tarmacked but has a few small inclines and mud and grass patches.


It  will be led by Gerry Firkins; he is a local botanist and has led field meetings and taught plant identification for Sheffield University, WEA  and the RSPB since the 1980s and is now a tutor for the Botanical  Society of the British Isles.


Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the season and weather.


No dogs please. 


Tickets are free for FoPV members using the emailed discount code and £5 for non-members.


Children under 12 are free but must be booked.
