Hello Conservation Volunteers,
Many thanks to those of you who came to Forge Dam yesterday and enjoyed generally pleasant weather for a change. We did some heavy clearance and management of brambles and holly on the banks of the dam and by the children's playground. We have also collected a new supply of stone for the wall renovation project.
We had an eighty year old and a seventy nine year old volunteer in our group yesterday who did sterling work. They are kept fit by attending our work mornings, so don't think you are too old to join us. Its cheaper than going to the gym, in fact its free!!
Hope to see you next time on Tuesday 22nd October at Forge Dam. The morning will be organised by our chairperson, Ann le Sage as I am away. A range of tasks will be available from light work to heavy tasks.
